I wrote this over a year ago... inspired by a Gorillaz song, I think. Ha. Um... I'm disappointed with the election, but so it goes, eh? I'm bored and I can't sleep...

Gravity

...Is amazing because it always pulls everything to the center of the Earth.
Perhaps we could fall straight through the ground if it were a stronger pull.
When one jumps, or throws something, it is always pulled back to the ground. But the ground is only blocking the way to the center.
This seems to remind me of a lot of things,
Especially the mind, though I can't really state an example.
I suppose
Addiction could be an example, but it can be eradicated. Gravity cannot, it seems.
But I suppose once one is addicted to something, it never goes away. It's all a matter of resisting the temptation.
And I guess I can relate gravity to this. Gravity can be overcome [like everything else] if one can travel faster than the speed of light [or play the 'mind over matter' trick].
The storybook kind of love is like gravity.
And waking up and falling back to sleep again.
